Hi – A couple of things… You ask for donations for clown scholarships but don’t tell me where to send one! There is no place that tells me how to contact the group, except this one which I found by mistake! I have a couple of years worth of Red Nose News that I would be happy to scan for you to put on the website. I also have the first 10 months on a disk, and even though they are 16 years old, I can still open them in Word! The formatting is a little off but if you need them I have them. Let me know!

I am a senior over at the University of Alabama. I was going for a degree in Child Life to become a Child Life Specialist, but cant seem to pull of the whole “professional” look. I am too much a free spirit and too fun loving to be stuck wearing nice clothes all the time and whatnot. What I really want to do, which is what I do at the many places I volunteer, is to get down on the floor with the kids. I want to encourage their play and help them see how much potential they have. I want to make them laugh like they have never laughed. I want them to forget their situatiion, if only for the time that I am there. All my life, I have wanted to bring out the “inner Child” in everyone I meet. I have always been a little eccentric and stuck out in the crowd. I get along with and connect with chidlren moreso than i do poeple my age. I carry bubbles and stickers and a headful of jokes with me everywhere I go.
I dont really know what I am getting at here, I suppose I really ment to reply by asking what I could do to become a therapuetic clown. I want to see if this is the job for me.
